FREE Autographed KISS Legends of Rock Guitar - What would Gene Simmons Do?

kiss10small.jpg It was a day like so many others around here — endless phone calls, a flurry of incoming musical instruments, and of course, the occasional break to jam with some of our favorite gear.

About mid-afternoon we received our daily shipment of new inventory. Among the violins, flutes amplifiers were the standard dozen or so guitars we get each day. As we started opening boxes we made an amazing discovery. One of the guitars was an official KISS Legends of Rock game controller and it was SIGNED by all four current members of the band.

Jake Shimabukuro: Uke Master

mus_jake1.jpg

Most people involved in contemporary music would think that if you want to “shred” you need at least 6 strings. This is why whenever someone claims they’re a musician, they’re usually a guitarist. What most people don’t know, is that even an instrument of simplistic nature has the potential to blow an unsuspecting listener’s mind, and shatter all of our previously common misconceptions. A true musician decides his own limitations and explores outside the ordinary methods of play. This is how virtuosos are born.

Classic Carved Top style electric guitar review

This guitar plays great, bottom line. A sensational electric for novice guitarists, this guitar has incredibly low action. Without question, probably the best PRS style I've played. Still has that particularly bright range, while sustaining a rich, warm low range with wonderful clarity.

Review of 9039 Classical Guitar

This guitar is nothing short of a steal. For the price, you won't be able to find a better classical, nylon-string. It feels like an old, worn-in guitar that maybe got passed down, which goes to show it has comfortable body shape. It feels like home in my hands, and I always have a bit of trouble putting the thing down.

What makes a band good? What makes them memorable? Is it the lyrics, the emotion the music creates, or is it a little of both? We all know "good" music derives from more than just lyrics and good music, though lately it seems as if contemporary music is drifting further away from the edge it used to have. It kept us anticipating the next album, not dreading it because, "they don't sound like they used to". Music comes to life when a story is used in synchronization with it. It seems to pop-out at us, as if reading a good book. What ever happened to that feeling?

NAMM convention 2008
How do you describe the North American Music Merchandisers Convention that is held every year in Anaheim, CA.? As a novice musician I can best describe it as overwhelming and a bit intimidating. Simply arriving at the venue and seeing the thousands of exhibitors, visitors and musicians entering the convention center was a bit much.

NAMM 08- by Alvin

How could I describe my experience at NAMM ’08 in one word? Incredible; Overwhelming, Insane…Any of the above would be accurate. It is now January 22nd, and it seems that the convention is over just as soon as it was starting. I can’t imagine the time it would take to walk around to every exhibit and see each display, and I can’t imagine who would physically be able to, for that matter. I heard it would be big. I knew here there would be anything, and everything that can/could have anything to do with music. Still, the NAMM Convention of 2008 blew my expectations away, and I left just as stunned as I was amazed.

Keegan the Crusader !!!

We were recently contacted by an incredible woman named Audra Puckett. She wrote me to request that we make a small discount in the price of a childrens electric guitar. She stated that it was her sons birthday, and although he desperately wanted an electric guitar, she could not afford the guitar and shipping.

She gave me a link to a website www.caringbridge.org/co/keegan . Im not going to go into detail about Keegans condition, but there is PLENTY of great information on his site. PLEASE take the time to visit the site and see if there is anything you can do to make this little guys days brighter!

We were able to send a guitar off to Keegan, and just today received the most incredible hadn made thank you card, and some pics of Keegan jammin. We will get the pics up soon, so check back.

In the meantime, KEEP UP THE JAMMIN KEEGAN!!! Your friends out here in Cali are thinking about you!
