About mid-afternoon we received our daily shipment of new inventory. Among the violins, flutes amplifiers were the standard dozen or so guitars we get each day. As we started opening boxes we made an amazing discovery. One of the guitars was an official KISS Legends of Rock game controller and it was SIGNED by all four current members of the band.
Our first thought was that one of our vendors was a little late in getting their April Fool's day joke to us. However after more carefully inspecting the contents of the package we discovered that the box was addressed to another business over two miles away from us and that it was, in fact, authentic.
We were mistakenly sent a contest winning KISS AG RiffMaster Game Controller, signed by all four KISS members. But, being the good-hearted, honest people that we are, we gave it to its rightful owner instead of selling it on ebay. :~> However we couldn't resist taking a few pictures of this one of a kind game controller and we have posted them here to share. Art Guitar(AG) , a custom electric guitar manufacturer, created the AG RiffMaster Guitar Hero, which merges the body of a real electric guitar with the components of the plastic Guitar Hero controller. Their goal was to further entrench Guitar Hero gammers into the fantasy that they are true Rockstars. It doesn't really matter if you're only slamming bright, primary colored plastic buttons instead of real chords.--you look legit and you FEEL like a Rockstar.
Art Guitar currently offers 17 artistic variation for the RiffMaster, licensed by rock bands including Ozzy Osborne, Lynard Skynyrd, Pantera, Megadeth, and KISS. If you're willing to drop the $400 for the controller, you may be one step closer to becoming the coolest Guitar Hero kid on the block. If you want to spend $400 on a real guitar, we may be able to help you out with that one. KISS is currently in Europe on their KISS ALIVE / 35 World Tour. Their four current members are Paul Stanley (rhythm guitar, lead vocals), Gene Simmons (bass guitar, lead vocals), Tommy Thayer (lead guitar), and Eric Singer (drums, vocals) are still going strong. And, after more than 30 years of rocking, KISS is still going strong with their trademarked face paint, costumes and elaborate live performances. The guitar has been returned to it's rightful owner. Hopefully they are using it to rock and roll all night right from home.
