The RS Berkeley OB400 Elite Series Oboe is a great choice for students. The key mechanism on the oboe is smooth and comfortable to the hands. The durable ebonite body material requires less maintenance than wood oboes, and is will not crack from moisture or temperature changes. The RS Berkeley oboe produces a rich and full tone, with excellent sound projection that works well in all performance situations. Additional key features include left hand F keys, low B, and F resonance key. The keys are silver plated with blue steel springs and tapered pivot screws for precise adjustment and durability. The oboe comes complete with a custom plush lined case with shoulder strap, reed & reed case, pad saver & cork grease.

The Pottsboro ISD band program proudly played RS Berkeley Instruments during the 2005 / 2006 school year. The instruments were played all during marching season and concert season including UIL contests, in house performances, and community performances. We were impressed with the instruments intonation and quality. We were looking for durability and these instruments proved to be of high quality both in craftsmanship and sound. Compared to other brands, RS Berkeley Instruments are a great choice for School band programs, especially when pricing and quality are the expectation. The Silver trumpets, Saxophones, French horns and Tubas have worked amazingly, both on the marching field and in the concert band. We thank RS Berkeley for being an integral part of Pottsboro ISD's band program's success this year.
